Glossary of TEFL Acronyms

PPP - Present, Practice, Produce: A three-step teaching sequence. In the presentation stage, the target language is explained to the students. This is followed by controlled practice of the language. The production stage requires students to use this language in controlled yet meaningful exchanges. Depending on who you talk with and where you do your training, PPP is standard, controversial or discredited.
